Prices and Booking

Bookings are accepted subject our terms and conditions
Please look at the reservations table to check for availability, select the week(s) you require, mark the weeks required and state dates where indicated. If you are bringing horses please state whether one or two where indicated. Prices for the house are shown below.

Horses are charged at a standard rate of £50 per horse per week in all seasons. Click here for more information on livery and stabling.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF RENTAL

The hirer agrees that:-

  1. Sole Bay Lodge is let on the basis of a holiday let, limited to the period booked and does not confer on the hirer any rights of tenancy or tenure;
  2. The rental charged includes all local taxes, water, power, heating fuel, television broadband connection, Laundered bed linen and towels are £15 per room if required;
  3. The hirer will arrive no earlier than 4:00 pm on the first day of the letting period, and will depart no later than 11:00 am on the last day of the letting period;
  4. The minimum letting period is usually one week, being defined as 4:00 pm on Saturday to 11:00 on the following Saturday, although different dates can probably be accommodated in low season;
  5. The hirer shall leave the premises in a tidy condition and shall be responsible for all breakages and damage which shall be charged to the hirer according to the inventory provided at the premises.
  6. The hirer will use the premises and all the equipment, fittings and furniture provided therein in a safe, responsible and careful manner. The hirer will follow any instructions given for the operation of equipment
  7. The hirer will take all precautions against damage, flooding and fire and do nothing to impair or cancel the validity of the insurance. The hirer will do nothing that would cause a hazard or risk to people or the premises including ensuring electrical equipment (other then the water heater or washing machine) is switched off when the premises are vacated, no hazardous or toxic chemicals are taken into the premises and not allowing the use of stove-top chip pans and unsupervised naked flames.
  8. The hirer will ensure that pet animals brought into the premises do not damage or soil the floor coverings, furniture and fittings, and will be held responsible at all times during the letting period for any damage caused by pet animals
  9. Animal excrement, whether dog or horse must be picked up and disposed of. For horse muck please see specific stable instructions
  10. A deposit by cheque of 50% of the total hire price will be remitted with the booking to secure it and the balance must be paid 4 weeks before arrival.  
  11. The hirer will keep the premises, curtilage and stables in fair and tidy condition, put waste and rubbish in the appropriate bins, leave the bins out at the gate on days shown by notice on the premises, keep animal feed and bedding tidily in containers and do nothing which would encourage vermin on the premises
  12. The hirer will keep the premises secure and locked when they are not present, and keep horses and other animals secure and restrained from straying off the premises being especially aware that the property is surrounded by nature reserves supporting populations of endangered species of birds!
  13. The hirer will refrain from causing a nuisance by creating excessive noise or otherwise to the neighbouring properties or users of the private road. The hirer will use the private road with caution and low speeds and be respectful of pedestrians and animals on the road.
